BEGINNER’S KNITTING!
Ever wanted to learn to knit? Here’s your chance!
Learn: About Different Types of Yarn, Terms, Tools of the trade, Swatching, Tension, Reading Patterns, Right Handed Method of Basic Knitting (cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, and cast off), Finishing Techniques, and Caring for Woolies. By the end of the course you will have completed a small project and have the knowhow to start your next project!
Times & Dates: Monday Feb. 27 – Mar. 26 (5 weeks) 7pm-9pm
Cost: $70 – Materials not included OR $87 – Materials included (approx. $20 worth of materials)
Materials: 100g of worsted weight yarn, 5mm straight needles
prerequisites: No Experience Necessary!
Pre-Registration Required. Classes must have a minimum of 3 people to proceed, and a maximum of 7.
THRUMMED MITTENS
Learn the technique to make your very own warm, wooly, fluff filled mittens. There’s nothing warmer on your hands for our long, cold winters!
Times & Dates: Thursday, Feb. 23 – March 1 (2 weeks) 7pm-9pm
Cost: $30 + HST (materials not included)
Materials: 100g worsted weight yarn, 4.5mm double point needles
Prerequisites: Basic knitting techniques (knit, purl, increase, decrease), basic knowledge of kntting in the round.
Pre-Registration Required. Classes must have a minimum of 3 people to proceed.

Wannabe sock knitter??? This is the class for you!
Date & Time: Thursday, March 15th – March 29th (3 weeks) – 7pm to 9pm
Cost: $45 +HST – Materials not included

We are always looking for new classes to run and will be adding them as they come up. If you’re interested in teaching a class, we are looking for instructors to run classes for Lace Knitting, Colourwork, Crochet, Spinning (with a drop spindle), and Needlefelting. We’re open to suggestion…have an idea? Drop us a line!
